Dating back to the 13^th century Galle is a port city situated in the south west coast of Sri Lanka. A fortified city brought to glory during the Dutch occupation, Galle today is a central attraction sought by many.

A UNESCO World heritage city, Galle is best explored on a bike or on foot. Age-old churches, light houses, cobblestoned streets, museums and the fort itself are a intermingling of colonial architecture and eastern elegance, which flawlessly weave then and now.

Stylish cafes, chic boutiques, trendy restaurants, galleries, restored hotels and mansions have set an apt ambience in blending old and new. Galle is patronised by many artists that include authors, photographers, designers and poets. Galle Literacy Festival is one of the most anticipated literary events in southeast Asia frequented by literary enthusiasts all over the world.  Sunset walks along the old Dutch city can be a welcoming conversion from the extreme ends of modernism and conventionalism.
